Prohibited Items
For the safety of our attendees and to comply with individual venue policies, the following items are not permitted at Pride Marfa events:
- Outside alcoholic beverages
- Outside food or drinks
- Glass containers
- Weapons of any kind
- Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Fireworks, explosives, or incendiary devices
- Laser pointers
- Drones
- Large bags, backpacks, or luggage
- Professional photography or recording equipment without prior approval
- Items that could reasonably be used as weapons
- Any item prohibited by the individual event venue
*Venue policies may vary. Individual venues may have additional restrictions or bag policies, so please check the event listing before attending.
*Outside food and beverages are prohibited at Pride Marfa events held at participating venues. Many of our venues operate under specific alcohol regulations and must follow their own licensing and service requirements.
Is Pride Marfa free?
Yes! All Pride Marfa events are free and open to the public. Some event venues may have a limited capacity, so we recommend arriving early.
Who can attend?
Most Pride Marfa events are 21+. Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID, as some venues may require ID at the door.
Do I need a ticket?
Pride Marfa events are always free.
Are allies welcome?
Absolutely. Pride Marfa centers queer people and queer community, and respectful allies are welcome. We ask everyone to be mindful that these spaces are created to celebrate and support LGBTQ+ people.

Transportation & Parking
Where should I park?
Parking varies by event and venue. Street parking is generally available throughout town. Please be mindful of Marfa residents and businesses and do not block driveways, entrances, or restricted areas.
No Rideshare Services Available
The City of Marfa is a rural community with limited resources, and there are no rideshare services available. Plan ahead, designate a sober driver, or make arrangements to stay nearby as Marfa is generally walkable.
Weather & Event Changes
What happens if there is bad weather?
Some events may be moved, delayed, or canceled due to weather or other circumstances. Follow Pride Marfa's Instagram for the latest updates.
Food & Drink
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
No. Outside food and beverages are not permitted at Pride Marfa events. Food and drinks may be available for purchase at individual venues or from participating vendors.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No. Outside alcohol is not permitted at Pride Marfa events, unless stated otherwise. Alcohol service, where available, is handled by the individual venue and is subject to applicable Texas alcohol regulations and venue policies.
Can I drink at Pride Marfa events?
Some events will take place at venues that serve alcohol. Where alcohol is available, you must be 21+ with valid ID, and all venue and Texas alcohol regulations apply.
Pride Marfa and participating venues reserve the right to refuse service or remove anyone who is intoxicated or behaving unsafely.
Attire
Is there a dress code?
Come as you are! Gear, lingerie, drag, cowboy attire, casual clothes, or a look inspired by one of our themed parties are all welcome. Some events may have specific themes or dress suggestions, so check the individual event description for details.
Consent, Community & Care
What are the consent rules?
Consent is required, always. Always get consent before dancing closely with or touching anyone. A sex-positive environment is never an invitation to touch, approach, photograph, or engage with someone without their consent. Please be mindful of people's privacy and boundaries.
Can I take photos or videos?
We discourage photos and videos during all Pride Marfa events. Stay present, stay engaged.
